Waterloo Regional Police Continue to Investigate Kitchener Home Invasion
Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a home invasion in Kitchener.
On April 30, 2026, at approximately 3:45 a.m., police responded to a report of a home invasion in the area of Sims Estate Drive and Beaumont Crescent.
Through investigation it was determined that the suspects gained entry to a home, assaulted the victim, and stole personal property before fleeing the residence.
As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old Cambridge youth was arrested and charged with:
- Break and enter
- Robbery with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Disguise with intent
- Possession of ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Breach of release order
- Breach of probation
A 39-year-old Cambridge male was arrested and charged with:
- Break and enter
- Robbery with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Disguise with intent
- Fail to comply with release order
Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.
The investigation is ongoing by members of WRPS’ Break and Enter, Auto Theft, and Robbery (BEAR) Unit.
