Waterloo Regional Police Continue to Investigate Shooting Incident Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at a residence in Kitchener.
On June 21, 2025, at approximately 9:50 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area of Breckenridge Drive.
Initial investigation determined that three unknown armed suspects broke into a home and stole property. When a homeowner returned and confronted the suspects, an altercation ensued, during which shots were fired.
The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle which was followed to a highway exit on Wellington Street North, where additional shots were fired.
Two victims sustained minor injuries as a result of the initial altercation.
The investigation is ongoing by members of WRPS’ Robbery Unit.
There will be a continued increased police presence in the area of Breckenridge Drive and Wellington Street North as officers continue to investigate.
