Waterloo Regional Police Investigate Assault and Mischief at Kitchener’s Victoria Park
Waterloo Regional Police have laid assault and mischief charges after responding to a disturbance in Kitchener.
On August 17, 2025, at approximately 2:50 p.m., a family was leaving Victoria Park when they were approached by a male who made sexual comments towards them. The male then damaged property by ripping a Pride flag from a child’s bike carrier after being confronted by one of the victims.
Members of WRPS quickly located and arrested the suspect in the area. The accused, a 32-year-old Kitchener male, has been charged with:
Assault
Mischief under $5,000
Cause Disturbance
