Waterloo Regional Police are investigating an assault in downtown Kitchener.

On December 25, 2025, at approximately 6:40 a.m., officers responded to the area of Charles Street West and Ontario Street South for a report of a disturbance.

Upon arrival, police located a male unconscious with facial injuries. The male was transported to hospital for treatment.

The investigation remains ongoing by members of the General Investigations Unit.
