Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Assault in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male in connection with an assault that occurred in downtown Kitchener.
On December 25, 2025, at approximately 6:40 a.m., officers responded to the area of Charles Street West and Ontario Street South following a report of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, police located a male who was unconscious and suffering from facial injuries. The male was transported to hospital for treatment.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, on April 24, 2026, Waterloo Regional Police arrested a 25-year-old Kitchener male in relation to this incident. The accused was charged with aggravated assault and held for a bail hearing.
Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service General Investigations Unit continue to investigate.
