Waterloo Regional Police Investigating a Commercial Robbery in Kitchener
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police have charged a Kitchener male in connection to a robbery investigation.
On December 22, 2025, at approximately 4:30 a.m., police responded to the area of Westforest Trail and Highland Road West after receiving a report of a robbery at a commercial property.
Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Property and Financial Crime Unit took carriage of the investigation as part of a trend of similar robberies in the area.
At approximately 10:50 a.m., police arrested a 39-year-old Kitchener male for his involvement in six robberies in Kitchener and Waterloo.
Police subsequently completed a search warrant at the accused’s residence and recovered stolen property.
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating a commercial robbery that occurred in Kitchener.
On December 22, 2025, at approximately 4:30 a.m., police responded to the area of Westforest Trail and Highland Road West after receiving a report of a robbery at a commercial property.
The suspect entered the business and pointed a spray canister at the victim while demanding merchandise. The suspect fled the area on a dark-coloured e-scooter.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 45 years old, six feet tall, wearing black pants, a black winter jacket, and a black face covering. The suspect was carrying a dark blue duffle bag and a black plastic bag.
The investigation remains ongoing.
