Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Disturbance in Downtown Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a disturbance resulting in the death of a dog in Kitchener.
On August 9, 2025, at approximately 4:40 a.m., members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service responded to reports of a disturbance in the area of Charles Street South and Cedar Street East.
Upon arrival, officers located several individuals and an injured dog in the area.
Initial reports indicated that an altercation occurred involving multiple parties near a bus stop, during which a dog attacked another dog.
A short time later, police were called to a second location at King Street East and Eby Street North, where a deceased dog was located.
The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
