Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Waterloo
Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Traffic Services Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Waterloo.
On June 3, 2026, at approximately 8:15 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a straight truck and a pedestrian at the intersection of University Avenue East and Marsland Drive.
The driver of the straight truck, a 54-year-old male from Kitchener, was not injured.
The pedestrian, a 23-year-old female from Waterloo, was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours to allow for the police investigation.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are anticipated.
