Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a fraud in Kitchener.

On December 22, 2025, an unknown male suspect attended a bank in the area of Highland Road West and Westmount Road West and exchanged 40 rolls of toonies for paper currency.

When bank employees later opened the rolls, they determined that the rolls consisted of a toonie on each end of the roll and metal washers in between.

Investigators would like to identify and speak to the individual pictured below in connection to this incident.
