Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a hate-motivated incident after racial slurs were discovered inside a residential property on University Avenue in Waterloo.

Sometime between December 21, 2025, and December 30, 2025, an unknown individual entered an apartment unit and wrote racial slurs in marker inside the residence. 

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
