Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Hate-Motivated Robbery in Kitchener
The Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating a robbery that occurred at a convenience store in Kitchener.
On December 22, 2025, at approximately 9:40 a.m., police responded to the area of Highland Road East and Spadina Road East after receiving a report of a robbery. The suspect entered the store, made threats toward employees, and used racial slurs before fleeing on foot prior to police arrival.
The suspect is described as a white male in his twenties, wearing a red winter jacket with fur on the hood, grey sweatpants, a black shirt, a black backpack, and a baseball cap.
