Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Hate-Motivated Threats Incident in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a hate-motivated threats incident in Kitchener.

On June 28, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m., police responded to the area of Weber Street West and Guelph Street following reports of an unknown male following two individuals along the sidewalk while shouting threats to harm them.

The threats are believed to be hate-motivated in nature.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his mid-40s, approximately 5’7” tall with a thin build, short brown hair, and an unshaven appearance. He was wearing dark clothing, carrying a red bag, and pushing a cart.

The investigation is ongoing.
