Waterloo Regional Police Investigating High-Value Theft from Cambridge Retail Store
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police have charged two individuals in connection to a shoplifting incident in Cambridge.
On August 26, 2025, a male and female stole health and beauty products from a retail store on Hespeler Road.
Through investigation, officers identified the suspects as a 24-year-old female from Toronto and a 31-year-old male from Vaughn.
On January 10, 2026, the female was arrested by York Regional Police and transported to Waterloo Region. She was charged with Theft over $5,000 and was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
The male suspect remains outstanding at this time.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating a high-value theft that occurred at a retail store in Cambridge.
On August 26, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., two suspects – one male and one female – entered the retail store located in the area of Hespeler Road. The suspects placed a large quantity of health and beauty products into a tote bag they had brought with them.
The pair exited the store at approximately 3:35 p.m. with the unpaid products.

Investigators believe the same suspects may be connected to similar thefts across the Greater Toronto Area.
