Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Homicide at Kitchener Residence

As part of the ongoing homicide investigation in Kitchener, Waterloo Regional Police have identified the victim and the accused.
The victim has been identified as a 70-year-old male from Kitchener.
The accused, a 29-year-old female from Kitchener, has been charged with Second Degree Murder.
The investigation remains ongoing by members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Major Crime Unit.

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a homicide that occurred in Kitchener.
On September 15, 2025, at approximately 9:30 a.m., police responded to a residence in the area of Cameron Street North and Weber Street East for a check wellbeing call.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male inside the residence with significant injuries. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
An adult female has been taken into custody. Investigators believe the individuals are known to one another.
The investigation is ongoing by members of WRPS’ Major Crime Unit, General Investigations Unit, and Forensic Identification Unit.
There will be an increased police presence in the area as officers conduct a canvass for witnesses and gather additional information.
