Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Incident in Woolwich Township

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating an incident that occurred in Woolwich Township.

On November 2, 2025, at approximately 2:15 a.m., emergency services responded to a vehicle fully engulfed in flames in a field near Three Bridges Road. Believing the driver may have been seriously injured, officers conducted a search of the area with assistance from the Canine and Traffic Services Units.

The driver was located in a nearby residence and determined to be unlawfully inside. 

As a result of the investigation, a 47-year-old male from Woolwich Township has been charged with:

  • Unlawfully in a dwelling
  • Dangerous operation
  • Fail to remain
  • Drive while under suspension
