Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Marketplace Theft in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a theft following an online marketplace transaction in Kitchener.
On June 3, 2026, at approximately 1 p.m., a victim arranged to sell an electronic device and met with the suspect at their residence in the area of Mill Street and Queen Street South. The suspect left the scene on foot with the item without providing payment.
There were no reports of any physical injuries.
The investigation is ongoing by the General Investigations Unit. Police are appealing to anyone who may have dash camera or surveillance video in the area at the time of the incident to come forward.
Waterloo Regional Police remind the public to conduct buy-and-sell exchanges at designated safe transaction zones located at police divisions.
