Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Waterloo.

On July 27, 2026, at approximately 11:40 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery in the area of King Street North and University Avenue East.

Investigators learned that five suspects concealed merchandise and attempted to leave a business without paying. When confronted by store staff, a physical altercation occurred.

As a result of the confrontation, the store manager sustained injuries.

The suspects are described as five Black males, approximately 15 to 18 years old. One suspect was wearing blue track pants and a white shirt, while another was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

The investigation remains ongoing.
