Previous Release

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Waterloo.

On August 5, 2026, at approximately 12:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a robbery in the area of Erb Street West and University Avenue West.

Through the investigation, officers learned that two males became involved in an altercation at a nearby restaurant. During the incident, one of the individuals allegedly brandished a small knife and stole property belonging to the victim.

There were no reported physical injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-20s with a thin build. He was wearing a black hoodie and red pajama pants.

The investigation remains ongoing.
