Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Shooting Incident in Wellesley Township
Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a shooting incident in Wellesley Township.
On the afternoon of December 24, 2025, Waterloo Regional Police responded to a residence on Firella Place in Wellesley Township after a bullet struck the home. No physical injuries were reported.
Investigators have determined that the round may have originated from a significant distance away, and the incident does not appear to be targeted. No active threat to public safety has been identified.
The investigation remains ongoing.
Police are asking anyone who may have been shooting in the area of Wilmot Easthope Road, Berlett’s Road, Nafziger Road, and Gerber Road, or anyone who witnessed shooting activity in that area, to contact the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s General Investigations Unit at 519-570-9777, extension 4496.
