Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Stabbing in Kitchener
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police have made an arrest in connection to a stabbing incident in Kitchener.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, on September 16, 2025, a 43-year-old male has been arrested and charged with the following:
- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Breach of probation order
The male was held for a bail hearing.
The Waterloo Regional Police Service wishes to thank members of the public who provided information that assisted in the investigation.

Waterloo Regional Police Service is continuing to investigate a stabbing incident in Kitchener.
On August 15, 2025, at approximately 6:45 a.m., police responded to reports of a stabbing in the area of College Street and Duke Street. The investigation determined that a 63-year-old male victim was assaulted by an unknown suspect and sustained non-life-threatening physical injuries. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment.
Members of WRPS' General Investigations Unit are looking to identify and speak to the individual pictured below in connection to this incident.
