Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a structure fire in Kitchener.

On August 12, 2025, at approximately 12:15 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a structure fire in the area of Water Street and College Street in Kitchener.

The fire, which began on the back deck of a residence on Water Street, spread along the fence line to a neighbouring property on College Street. The Kitchener Fire Department responded and extinguished the fires.

The cause of the fire is unknown, and the investigation remains ongoing by Waterloo Regional Police Service and the Kitchener Fire Department.
