Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Suspicious Person Report in Cambridge

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after receiving a report of a suspicious person in Cambridge.

On January 5, 2026, at approximately 1:00 p.m., police received information that an unknown adult male was walking on school property near Baldwin Drive and Guelph Avenue. The male was believed to have been recording while on the property.

The male is described as approximately 6’0” tall, wearing a dark coat and a black hat.

The individual was seen in the rear parking lot of an elementary school before walking through the playground area. Children were outside for recess during this time; however, the male did not approach or speak to any students. 

The male left the property on foot after being told he could not be on school grounds. 

The investigation is ongoing.
