The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) is issuing a public notification regarding a charged individual who has recently been released on bail into the community.

Gregory Zehr, 44, has been charged by the London Police Service with sexual assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, kidnapping, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, and uttering threats of death or bodily harm in connection to a report of an incident that occurred in London, Ontario on June 4, 2026.

Following a court appearance on August 12, 2026, Mr. Zehr was released on bail conditions and is residing in New Hamburg, Ontario. Mr. Zehr is bound by the following conditions: 

• Residing in New Hamburg, Ontario
• Remaining in the residence or on the property of the residence 24 hours a day unless in the presence of surety
• Having no access to computer or internet
• Not possessing any weapons

WRPS is releasing this information because it believes doing so is necessary for public safety and to keep the public informed. 

If you observe Mr. Zehr breaching any of his release conditions, please do not approach him and call 9-1-1 immediately.
