Waterloo Regional Police Issue Public Safety Notification Regarding Charged Individual Residing in Wilmot Township
The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) is issuing a public notification regarding a charged individual who has recently been released on bail into the community.
Gregory Zehr, 44, has been charged by the London Police Service with sexual assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, kidnapping, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, and uttering threats of death or bodily harm in connection to a report of an incident that occurred in London, Ontario on June 4, 2026.

Following a court appearance on August 12, 2026, Mr. Zehr was released on bail conditions and is residing in New Hamburg, Ontario. Mr. Zehr is bound by the following conditions:
- Residing in New Hamburg, Ontario
- Remaining in the residence or on the property of the residence 24 hours a day unless in the presence of surety
- Having no access to computer or internet
- Not possessing any weapons
WRPS is releasing this information because it believes doing so is necessary for public safety and to keep the public informed.
