Waterloo Regional Police Lay Charges Following Motor Vehicle Collision in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have laid charges after a motor vehicle collision in Kitchener.
On May 3, 2026, at approximately 3:20 p.m., police responded to the area of Margaret Avenue and Victoria Street North after reports of a motor vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle and Grand River Transit bus.
The passenger vehicle sustained front-end damage, and luckily, no one was injured.
As a result of the investigation, the driver, a 22-year-old Kitchener male holding a G2 driver's licence, was arrested and charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired - Alcohol and Drugs
- Operation while impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration
- Careless Driving
- Novice Driver - BAC above zero
