Waterloo Regional Police Locate a Bicycle "Chop Shop" at a Kitchener Residence

On June 26, 2025 the North Direct Action Response Team completed a search warrant at a residence in Kitchener. 

The warrant was of the result of an on-going bicycle theft investigation. 

The investigation began after a stolen bike was located inside a residence near King Street West and Green Street in the City of Kitchener. After the initial bicycle was located numerous other bicycles and parts were located as a nearby residence. 

Police were able to recover over $25,000.00 in bicycles and parts.

Police are continuing the investigation. Members of DART will be attempting to locate and return the bicycles to owners as the investigation continues.

The Waterloo Regional Police Services Direct Action Response Team is part of the Crime Analysis and Response Unit and is committed to Crime Suppression and community safety through proactive initiatives.
