Waterloo Regional Police Make an Arrest After a Stabbing Investigation in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a Kitchener male after a stabbing incident in Kitchener.
On June 14, 2025, at approximately 9:10 p.m., police responded to reports of a stabbing at a residence in the area of Madeleine Street and Maitland Street.
The victim, a 21-year-old Cambridge male, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On July 13, 2025, Waterloo Regional Police arrested a 28-year-old male in relation to this incident.
The accused has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, disobey court order, and failure to comply with probation order.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Investigators believe this was an isolated incident, and the victim and suspect are known to each other. There are no ongoing concerns for public safety.
