Waterloo Regional Police Recover 45 Stolen Lawn Mowers After a Stolen Trailer Investigation

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police General Investigations Unit have arrested a Unionville male after a major theft investigation.

On May 9, 2025, police reported to a report of a tractor trailer stolen in the Township of North Dumfries. The trailer had goods inside valued over $100,000.

On May 14, 2025, investigators completed two search warrants, one in Markham and another in Scarborough.

During the search, investigators recovered 45 riding lawn tractors that were inside the trailer at the time of the theft.

Police have arrested and charged a 37-year-old male for possession of stolen property over $5,000.

The investigation remains ongoing.
