Waterloo Regional Police Respond to a Cambridge Shooting
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a shooting in Cambridge.
On November 27, 2024, at approximately 8:35 p.m., police responded to the area of Lena Crescent and Pamela Lane after receiving reports of shots fired by an unknown suspect.
Upon arrival, police located a 40-year-old Cambridge male who had suffered gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased. Another victim, a 31-year-old Cambridge male, was located outside the residence with a gunshot wound and transported to a local hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.
Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.
The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Major Crime, General Investigations, and Forensic Identification Units.
There will continue to be an increased police presence in the area as investigators conduct a canvass of the neighbourhood for witnesses and information.

On November 27, 2024, at approximately 8:35 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting incident in the area of Lena Crescent and Pamela Lane.
Upon arrival, police located a 40-year-old male who had suffered gunshot wounds and was found deceased. Another adult male was found with gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police currently are looking for the suspects involved.
WRPS’ Major Crime Unit has taken carriage of the investigation.
