Waterloo Regional Police Respond to Fatal Fire in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police and emergency services responded to a fatal fire in Cambridge.
On July 20, 2025, at approximately 9:45 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a fire at a motel room on Hespeler Road.
The motel was cleared and the Cambridge Fire Department managed to extinguish the fire
A 53-year-old male was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased.
The cause of the fire was deemed accidental, and WRPS’ General Investigations Unit is working with the Ontario Fire Marshal who is leading the investigation.
