Waterloo Regional Police Seek Witnesses Who Assisted Cyclist Following Kitchener Collision
Waterloo Regional Police are seeking to speak with individuals who stopped to assist a cyclist following a hit-and-run collision in Kitchener.
On September 30, 2026, at approximately 4 p.m., emergency services responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist at the intersection of Highland Road West and Westmount Road West.
The cyclist, a 17-year-old Kitchener male, was struck by a vehicle that failed to remain at the scene. The vehicle is believed to be a blue Ford F-150.
Following the collision, several individuals stopped to assist the cyclist. One individual is believed to have driven the cyclist home to the area of Eagen Drive.
Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who stopped to assist the cyclist or who may have information regarding the collision.
The cyclist was later transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit.
