Waterloo Regional Police Seeking to Confirm Well-Being Following Suspicious Incident in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a suspicious incident in Kitchener and are seeking to confirm the well-being of those involved.
On June 7, 2026, at approximately 10:40 a.m., a witness observed a concerning interaction in the parking lot of a natural area located at 3595 King Street East. A male was seen escorting a female into a vehicle after the female had been observed climbing a hill near a pedestrian bridge.
The suspect vehicle is believed to be a black 2021–2023 Kia Sorento displaying a Nova Scotia licence plate. It was last seen travelling westbound on King Street East toward River Road East. Photographs of the vehicle were obtained by police; however, attempts to locate the vehicle or confirm the licence plate have been unsuccessful at this time.




Suspect Description:
- White male
- Approximately 40 years old
- Thin build
- Short grey hair, nearly bald
- Slight beard
- Wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes
Female Description:
- White female
- Approximately mid-20s to 30s
- Orange/blonde hair (appears previously dyed red and partially bleached)
- Wearing a burgundy sweater and black leggings
The investigation is ongoing, and police are looking to confirm the well-being of the individuals involved.
