Waterloo Regional Police Seize Loaded Firearm and Drugs in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two males and seized a loaded firearm and drugs following an incident in Kitchener.
On October 4, 2026, at approximately 5 p.m., police responded to reports of two males who had broken into a parking garage in the area of Chandler Drive.
Officers arrived and located the individuals in a vehicle and arrested the driver for impaired driving. As a result of the investigation, officers seized a loaded firearm and suspected crack cocaine, fentanyl, and methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA). The passenger was also arrested.
Two Kitchener males, aged 24 and 20, were charged with the following:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Possession weapons dangerous
- Carry concealed weapon
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of a firearm or device knowing its possession is unauthorized
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
- Possession of restricted firearm
- Possession of a prohibited device
The 24-year-old male was also charged with:
- Operation while impaired by alcohol and drug
Both accused were held for a bail hearing.
