Waterloo Regional Police Service Welcomes 18 New Officers
The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) proudly welcomes its newest officers as Recruit Class #121 receives their badges during a ceremony on January 30, 2026, at the YMCA of Three Rivers in Waterloo.
Eighteen new constables have completed Basic Constable Training at the Ontario Police College and will be officially sworn in during the badging ceremony.

Before joining WRPS, members of Class 121 studied, worked, and volunteered in a variety of fields, including emergency services, healthcare, education, corrections, the military, information technology, and community support roles. These diverse experiences strengthen the Service’s ability to deliver professional, compassionate, and community‑focused policing.
The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. and will include members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Board, the WRPS Senior Leadership Team, the Ontario Court of Justice, volunteers, family members, and friends.
