On July 24, 2026, the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) will proudly welcome Recruit Class 123 to its ranks at a badging ceremony at Tapestry Hall in Cambridge.

Seventeen new Constables have completed their basic training at the Ontario Police College and will be officially sworn in during the ceremony. 

Before joining WRPS, the new members studied and worked in a variety of fields such as environmental studies, customer service, court services, skilled trades, communications, and the military, bringing a wide variety of experience and skills to the service. 

The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. and include members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Board, WRPS Senior Leadership Team, the Ontario Court of Justice, volunteers, family, and friends.
