WRPS Arrest Male in Hate-Motivated Incident in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have made an arrest in a hate motivated incident in Kitchener.
On February 25, 2025, at approximately 4 a.m., police responded to reports of a male brandishing a knife at a residential building on Kehl Street.
Through investigation, it was determined that the victim was approached by a male, who began making racial and derogatory comments towards them, while uttering threats and brandishing a knife. Officers arrived and arrested the male.
There were no physical injuries reported.
As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old Kitchener male was arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
