WRPS Arrest Male in Hate-Motivated Incident in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male in connection to a hate-motivated incident in Kitchener.
On July 10, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers were in the area of Greenfield Avenue when they observed an altercation involving two males, with several bystanders present.
Officers immediately intervened, separated the individuals and arrested one of the involved males.
Through the investigation, it was determined that the suspect had assaulted the victim while yelling racial slurs.
As a result of the investigation, a 31-year-old Kitchener male was charged with:
Assault
Cause Disturbance
Breach Release Order
Public Intoxication
The accused was held for bail hearing.
