WRPS Arrest Two Impaired Drivers in Separate Incidents at Same Location in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two individuals at the same location for impaired driving in Kitchener.
On January 28, 2026, at approximately 10:25 p.m., members of Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit were conducting proactive enforcement in the area of Fairway Road South in Kitchener when an officer observed a vehicle drifting out of its lane and nearly striking another vehicle.
The officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver for impaired driving.
During the arrest, the officer observed an unrelated vehicle in the same parking lot that appeared to be stuck. When the officer approached to assist, they observed signs of impairment and arrested the driver for impaired driving.
As a result of the investigations, a 42-year-old Kitchener male was charged with:
- Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration
- Dangerous operation
The second driver, a 25-year-old Kitchener male was charged with:
- Operation while impaired- alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration
- Dangerous operation
