WRPS Arrest Two Males and Seize Taser After Responding to Cambridge Break-In
Waterloo Regional Police have charged two males in connection to a residential break and enter in Cambridge
On February 7, 2026, at approximately 3:40 a.m., two male suspects gained entry to a residence on Mercer Road. The residents were home at the time of the incident and contacted police.
The suspects fled from the area in a vehicle and were arrested by officers a short distance away. Officers seized a taser as part of the investigation.
As a result of this investigation a 46-year-old Cambridge male was charged with:
Break and enter
Flight from police
Unauthorized possession of prohibited weapon
Obstruct police
A 52-year-old Cambridge male was charged with:
Break and enter
Flight from police
Unauthorized possession of prohibited weapon
Impaired operation- alcohol and drug
Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration
Both accused were held for a bail hearing.
Officers believe the involved individuals are known to each other.
