WRPS Arrest Two Youths Following Noxious Substance Assault in Cambridge

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two youths following an assault involving a noxious substance in Cambridge.

On September 5, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., police responded to reports of an assault at Dickson Park on Parkhill Road.

Through investigation, police determined that four victims had been sprayed with what is believed to be bear spray. The victims were treated for minor physical injuries.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested a 14-year-old male and a 15-year-old female.

The 14-year-old male has been charged with:

  • Four counts of Assault with a Weapon

  • Administering a Noxious Substance

  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

  • Outstanding warrants for previous offences

The 15-year-old female has been charged with Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

The male was held for a bail hearing, while the female is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

This remains an ongoing investigation.
