WRPS Charge Male Following Weapons Investigation in Kitchener
The Waterloo Regional Police Service has charged a male in connection to a weapons incident on a light rail transit train in Kitchener.
On August 18, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of an incident in the area of Courtland Avenue East and Block Line Road.
Through investigation, police determined that a 26-year-old male threatened and assaulted a victim with a weapon. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
As a result of the investigation, the male was charged with the following offences:
Uttering Threats to Cause Death
Assault with a Weapon
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
