WRPS Charges Two Drivers with Stunt Offences
Waterloo Regional Police have charged two drivers with stunt driving offences in Waterloo.
On March 16, 2025, at approximately 5 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police received a report of two vehicles racing in the area of University Avenue West and Albert Street.
Officers located the two vehicles, a black BMW and a red BMW, on King Street North, where they were observed travelling at high rates of speed and impeding traffic. At the time, Uptown Waterloo has a large volume of pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
Police conducted traffic stops of both vehicles.
The drivers, an 18-year-old male from Scarborough and a 19-year-old from Grey County, were charged with multiple Highway Traffic Act offences, including stunt driving.
The drivers' licences were suspended for 30 days, and the vehicles were impounded for 14 days.
