Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit are investigating a fatal collision in Woolwich Township.

On July 14, 2025, at approximately 4:45 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a sedan and an SUV in the area of Sawmill Road East of Arthur Street South.

A 73-year-old Waterloo woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 19-year-old male from Woolwich Township was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Roads were closed for the investigation and have since been reopened. The investigation is ongoing.
