WRPS Continue to Investigate Waterloo Hate-Motivated Incident

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a hate-motivated incident that occurred in Waterloo.

On June 9, 2025, at approximately 6:15 p.m., the victim was in the lobby of a residential building on King Street North near Columbia Street West. The victim was approached by an unknown male who began making racial and derogatory comments towards them.

There were no physical injuries reported.

The suspect male was described as white, 50 years, approximately six feet tall with a slim build. The male had grey hair with a bear and was wearing a blue/black baseball cap, a dark hoodie and white shoes.
