WRPS Investigate a Collision in Waterloo Involving a Pedestrian

WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit is investigating a serious collision involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian.

On April 12, 2025, at approximately 6:10 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a Toyota pickup truck and a pedestrian at the intersection of University Avenue East and Weber Street North in Waterloo.

The driver of the Toyota, a 53-year-old male from Waterloo, was not injured. The pedestrian, a 32-year-old female from Waterloo suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A portion of Weber Street North was closed for several hours for the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.  Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage is encouraged to call police at 519-570-9777 extension 8856.
