WRPS Investigating after Pride Crosswalk Damaged in Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after a Pride crosswalk was vandalized in Waterloo.

On December 22, 2024, at approximately 12 p.m., police attended King Street South and Willis Way for reports of property damage to a pedestrian crosswalk.

Through investigation, officers determined that a vehicle intentionally drove in a manner that caused tire markings on the painted Progress Pride flag. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
