WRPS Investigating Armed Robbery in Cambridge

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate an armed robbery at a convenience store in Cambridge.

On February 5, 2026, at approximately 2 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery at a store in the area of Elgin Street North and Linwood Avenue.

A male suspect confronted a store employee while brandishing a knife and stole cash. The suspect then fled on foot.

No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’10” tall, with a thin build, wearing black pants and brown boots.

The investigation is ongoing by members of WRPS’ Break and Enter, Auto Theft, and Robbery (BEAR) Unit.

Anyone with information or who may have dash camera or surveillance video in the area at the time of the robbery is asked to call police at 519-570-9777, extension 8255.
