WRPS Issue Warning after Pin Nail Located in Kitchener Chocolate Bar
The Waterloo Regional Police Service is issuing a warning to members of the public after a pin nail was located in a chocolate bar in Kitchener.
On November 4, 2025, at approximately 9:30 a.m., police received a report from a caregiver after locating a small pin nail inside a chocolate bar. The candy bar was collected on October 31, 2025, in the area of Hudson Crescent.
At this time, police have not ruled out the possibility that the contamination may have occurred during the manufacturing or packaging process.
There were no physical injuries reported as a result of this incident.
The Waterloo Regional Police are reminding caregivers to inspect all candy before they are consumed. Any candy that appears to have been tampered with should be immediately thrown out. All candy should be in the original wrapper for the safety of your children.
