WRPS' Robbery Team Investigating after Firearm Brandished at Driver in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate after a firearm was brandished at a driver in Kitchener.
On April 22, 2025, at approximately 7:25 a.m., a female driver reported being followed by a grey four-door sedan in the area of Otonabee Drive and Bleams Road. When the female parked in a lot on Otonabee Drive, the male driver of the grey sedan exited, approached the female victim’s passenger door, and demanded she open her door. The male then walked to the driver’s side, brandished a firearm, and demanded the victim exit her vehicle. The victim drove around the suspect, heading towards Bleams Road, and was pursued by the male suspect in the grey sedan.
The male suspect was last seen turning onto Bleams Road.
The suspect is described as a White male, 5’7”, with a slim build and scruffy facial hair, wearing a grey hoodie.
The suspect vehicle was described as a grey, four-door sedan with untinted windows and no front plate. It is believed to be a 2012-2023 cyber grey Hyundai Elantra Ultimate.
There were no physical injuries reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
