WRPS' Robbery Unit Investigating after Noxious Substance Sprayed in Kitchener Robbery
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two females as a result of a robbery investigation.
On November 12, 2024, police responded to a robbery where two suspects entered a Kitchener residence, sprayed the victim with a noxious substance, and stole property prior to fleeing before police arrival.
On December 5, 2024, members of the WRPS’ Robbery Unit completed two search warrants which resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old Kitchener female and a 40-year-old Waterloo female.
Both have been charged with robbery with a weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery.
The two females are scheduled to appear in court on a later date.
The investigation remains ongoing.

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate after a noxious substance was sprayed during a robbery in Kitchener.
On November 12, 2024, at approximately 1:15 a.m., police responded to a report of a robbery in the area of Victoria Street South and Fischer-Hallman Road.
Two unknown suspects entered a home and sprayed the victim with a noxious substance. The suspects then stole property and fled the residence.
The victim, a 34-year-old Kitchener female, was transported to a local hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services with non-life-threatening physical injuries.
Investigators believe that this was a targeted incident.
