WRPS' Street Crimes Team Arrests Wanted Male in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Street Crimes Team has arrested a wanted male and seized drugs after locating a stolen vehicle in Kitchener.
On June 17, 2025, at approximately 3:50 p.m., in the area of Victoria Street North and Frederick Street, officers arrested a male after observing him driving a stolen vehicle. The vehicle, a black Honda, was stolen on June 15, 2025, from a residence in Cambridge.
As part of the investigation, Street Crime Team officers seized suspected methamphetamine, pills, a machete, several power tools, and 12 licence plates.
The 28-year-old male was also wanted on warrants for multiple offences, including Break, Enter and Commit, Theft Motor Vehicle, Operation of a Conveyance while Prohibited, Fail to Comply with Probation, Flight from Police, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of Stolen Property.
As a result of further investigation, the male was also charged with:
- Motor Vehicle Theft
- Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000
- Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Operation while Prohibited
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
