Police Investigating Property Damage and Hate-Motivated Comments at Kitchener Business

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate reports of property damage and hate-motivated comments at a business in Kitchener.

On August 9, 2025, at approximately 7:55 p.m., an unknown suspect attended a restaurant located in the area of King Street East and Borden Avenue North and damaged a card scanner.

Through investigation, it was determined that the same suspect had made hate-motivated comments toward employees at the business approximately one week before the property damage.

The investigation is ongoing by members of WRPS’ Neighbourhood Policing Central Division.
